Dear Citizens of Katy,

I have filed as a candidate for the office of Mayor of the City of Katy for the term beginning in May, 2013.

In the years to come, the City of Katy will continue to enjoy tremendous growth opportunities and challenges for our citizens and businesses. Katy has been well run and managed. YOUR city administration and YOUR City Council have done a very good job keeping the city in great financial condition. The city is doing well, but there are always new inventive ways of improvement that could be implemented. The city has the resources that could be managed toward implementation of these improvements.

While operating a successful business since 1978, I have experienced these types of management responsibilities and challenges. I will bring my life, family, and business, experiences to the mayor's office. I feel that my experiences, as well as serving as your representative for six years on City Council, have prepared me for the challenges of serving as YOUR mayor.

I've been a businessman for most of my working career. I know the everyday challenges that face businesses. These are challenges I gladly accept. I know how to get the job done and I can make the tough decisions that YOU'LL require without bigger government or more government intrusion; I'll make it a government that works for YOU.

As YOUR MAYOR my main focus will be MAINTAINING RESPONSIBLE SPENDING, KEEPING OUR CITY a SAFE and SECURE PLACE TO LIVE and RAISE FAMILIES, while ANSWERING CONSTITUENTS' QUESTIONS and CONCERNS IN A TIMELY MANNER. I will represent YOU, the CITIZENS and BUSINESSES of KATY; YOU are the backbone of our community.

In the 41 years we have resided in the City of Katy, we have embraced the culture and heritage of the city with open arms. My finger is on the pulse of the city and I know what induces people to want to bring their families here and I know what keeps YOU here.

My wife and I have made many friends over the years and we would not want to live anywhere else. We raised our children here and we've been active in the community. Katy has been good to us and we appreciate the support YOU have given us the past six years that I have represented YOU on City Council. We ask for your continued support during this mayoral campaign. The future indeed looks bright for our city, so together let's work to KEEP KATY PROUD for many years to come!!!
